SEASONAL Part-time Bartender/Barista

Welcome to Birdie Books & Cafe, an independent bookstore, cafe, and micro-bakery in historic Uptown Westerville! The feel at Birdie Books encompasses adjectives such as whimsical, enchanting, cozy, and relaxing. As a screen-free cafe, we highly encourage genuine human interaction whether it be playing a board game, reading a book alongside a mate tucked into a cozy corner with a latte, or as part of a writing group. We also love it when our guests just come in to relax and check out of the busy world. Often, one will find patrons enjoying a cup of coffee while journaling or diving into a novel.

Everything in our cafe is made in-house from scratch, from our coffee syrups to the bakery items that fill the bakery case and cooler. We pride ourselves on giving customers a great experience. Our staff can often be found in conversation with our guests (again, that genuine human interaction thing), or going out of their way to make a drink "just right."

With the holiday months approaching, we are in need of another team member who loves working in the fast-paced coffee world. This candidate must have knowledge of coffee and be familiar with an espresso machine. On top of our cafe selections, Birdie Books & Cafe also has a full bar consisting of wine, spirits, and draft beer. For this reason, the candidate MUST BE 21 years of age. Knowledge in the bartending industry is a plus. This position would be an immediate start date and end at the 2026-year end.

Please respond to this job posting and avoid contacting the store directly. Our staff are busy helping customers and stocking the shelves!
