Key Responsibilities
Production and Preparation
● Execute all recipes and production sheets accurately and efficiently, maintaining high company standards of quality and consistency.
● Manage daily prep work for all baked goods, including doughs, batters, fillings, and finished products as assigned by Pastry Sous Chef/Pastry Assistant.
● Ensure proper scaling, mixing, baking, and finishing of all pastries and desserts.
● Maintain accurate inventory of ingredients and communicate needs to the Pastry Sous Chef.
Quality and Sanitation
● Adhere strictly to all local health and sanitation standards (HACCP principles).
● Possess food handlers certification.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including all equipment and storage areas.
● Conduct regular quality control checks on all finished products before service.
Teamwork and Communication
● Collaborate effectively with the Pastry Sous Chef, Pastry Assistant and other kitchen staff.
● Be flexible with scheduling and willing to cover shifts as necessary to meet business demands.
Qualifications
● Minimum 1-2 years of professional pastry experience preferred, but not required.
● Passion for pastry and good work ethic.
● Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous standards.
● Strong knowledge of various pastry techniques and kitchen equipment.
● Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
● Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
