Job Description - Seasonal Venue/Event Manager

Description

Time Requirement: 10-30 hours per week (Events can occur any day of week, depending on event schedule). Events typically run 9-10 hours but may have small variations.  

100% on-site at The Bristlecone Inn in Estes Park. 

This is a seasonal role that will have a variable schedule from April-October – The main responsibilities of this role will be to execute the event in conjunction with FOH and BOH teams. This person will work closely with the client to bring their vision to life.  

A day in the life of this position will look like the following: This person will be part of the rehearsal the day before. On the day of the event, s/he will arrive approximately 30 minutes before the client arrives for set up, make sure the event space is set up according to clients’ specifications, make sure the ceremony area (if needed) is set up appropriately. If needed this person will help line up the wedding party and keep the day running on time. 

S/He should feel comfortable taking photos of the event on their phone and posting them on the company’s social media profiles. This is not a catering position. This is a venue specific position. 

 

This person will supervise the bartender – take inventory after the event and make sure that we are compliant with our license and regulations.   

At the end of the event, the venue manager will make sure all client belongings leave with the client.  

One staff meal is provided for every event.

About the Bristlecone and Jubilations: 

We are a (relatively) small team and all have a lot of fun! ?This is a great opportunity for an introduction to all aspects of the wedding & catering industry. ?This applicant will report directly to and be mentored by our Director of Sales. We are growing quickly and looking for the right people to build our team. Our company has consistently won awards in the wedding industry for decades & has an outstanding reputation in Estes Park.

Requirements

Required Experience: 

  • Experience as a bartender. Current certificate for safe alcohol serving required. Willing to train the right candidate 

Responsibilities: 

  • Keep accurate inventory of bar product and place new orders in timely manner  
  • Oversee bar and bartender during events 
  • Coordinate rehearsals as requested by client 
  • Coordinate ceremonies  
  • Comfortable leading large groups 
  • Knowledge of weddings and ceremony processionals 
  • Take photos of events for social media and engage with company’s Facebook and Instagram profiles 
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to all clients, staff, and vendors 
  • Maintain positive and calm in a busy work environment 
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and service standards 
  • Ability to lift at least 40 lb 
  • Ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours 

Additional Tasks: 

  • Assist with walkthrough meetings  
  • Assist DOS and DOO on days off
