Starting at 16.00 for the probation period

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

• Possess VALID Security Officer License


• Have a VALID TWIC card (apply at tsa.gov)

• Have a VALID Driver’s License


• PAID PRE-EMPLOYMENT TRAINING AFTER 1ST WEEK OF WORK (also paid monthly training required; all training is paid at the state minimum)


• Minimum High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience - Higher Education is a plus


• Have reliable transportation


• Be able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check


• Be fluent in English (read, write and speak)


• Have basic computer knowledge

Job Description:

-Access control at the security checkpoints/gates

-Log incoming/outgoing traffic in accordance to regulations (training provided)

-Vessel/Dock work as needed

Job Duties:

• Provide security services at critical infrastructure facilities while complying with stringent government regulations
  
  
  
  • Security services are required when a regulated vessel is in port
  
  
  
  


• Ensure personal safety of staff, visitors and property


• Respond and investigate appropriately to situations reported


• Check identification and badges of persons entering the facility
  


• Provide escort services to passengers/crew for ships and other facilities by utilizing provided golf cart (operation of golf cart over a long pier over water)


• Maintain logs and records of occurrences (Daily Activity Reports will need to be written every shift and attention to detail required)


• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, screening personal items, inspecting dock and access points; permitting entry and deterring trespassers per USCG and US Customs regulations

Requirements:

• Possess valid/unexpired Security Officer License "Class D"


• Have a valid/unexpired TWIC card


• Have a valid/unexpired Driver’s License


• Minimum High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent experience - Higher Education is a plus


• Have reliable transportation


• Be able to pass a Drug Test and Background Check


• Be fluent in English (read, write and speak)


• Have basic computer knowledge (recommended to complete paid online training, however it can be completed from a phone or tablet)
