Security Officer (Outdoor Foot Patrol)

(TEMPORARY POSITION)

Schedule:

Position 1: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Position 2: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Position 3: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Shift: Day/Evening
Position Type: Full-time / Part-Time (TEMPORARY POSITION)
Location: Westwood, MA
Pay Rate: $22.50 hourly

Signal of New England is seeking a reliable and observant Security Officer to join our team. This role primarily involves outdoor, exterior foot patrol duties, including monitoring parking lot activity, deterring unauthorized building entry during off-hours, and overseeing contractor access to the property.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine foot patrols around the exterior of the property
Maintain visibility in the parking lot to deter suspicious or unwanted activity
Ensure no unauthorized individuals enter the building during off-hours
Monitor and log the entry/exit of contractors during active work periods
Provide accurate, timely incident reports and updates as needed
Maintain communication with supervisors and other personnel as required

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of security experience, especially in access control or screening roles
Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (required)
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
Ability to remain on foot for extended periods and conduct frequent patrols
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to intake information quickly and report incidents clearly and concisely
