Security Officer - Hickory

Note

This position is a floating position and, as such, requires a valid driver's license. Prioirity will also be given to applicants willing to work in Mt Holly, NoDa, and Asheville as well as sites in Hickory.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential security threats.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations or emergencies.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
• Document incidents and prepare reports for management review.
• Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• A valid unarmed registration with NC is preferred, but not required.
