5 Star Cares is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) for weekend-only night shifts. This role is ideal for nurses seeking a flexible schedule while continuing to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive, low-stress environment.

Position Details

• Location: Tampa area


• Shift: 12-hour nights | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Positions Available

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)


• Registered Nurse (RN)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and update care plans as needed


• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders


• Monitor, document, and report patient conditions accurately


• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams


• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families


• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized care environment


• Respond to emergencies with professionalism and clinical confidence

Preferred Clinical Experience

• Pediatric and young adult patient populations


• Ventilator, tracheostomy, and G-tube management


• Wound care, IV therapy, and acute clinical interventions


• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing


• Active Florida LPN or RN license


• Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)


• Minimum experience requirements:
  
  
  
  • 1 year in acute care, home health, hospice, rehab, or hospital setting
  
  
  • OR 6 months LPN/RN experience plus CNA, DSP, or HHA background (minimum 2 years combined experience)
  
  
  
  


• Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented


• Willingness to participate in designated emergency response teams (Team A, B, or C)


• Ability to pass AHCA Level 2 background screening

Compensation

• $25.00 – $41.00 per hour


• Compensation based on license type and relevant experience
