Salary Range
$90,000.00 - $165,750.00Overview
Work with and direct Program on Aging (POA) data and biostatistics teams to evaluate proposed research plans and advise investigators on the appropriate use of suitable datasets. Responsible for managing external administrative data resources such as NHATS and CMS; Mentor new data management staff including onboarding activities for project, consultations regarding coding best practices. Create detailed SAS programs for generation of analysis datasets and reusable SAS macros for common data extraction and analysis tasks, prepare data summaries and analysis for Investigators at regular meetings and integrate administrative datasets with study-generated data. Design publication quality graphics (e.g., PRISM, etc.) for manuscripts. Oversee projects through detailed documentation of all coding and study decisions and database snapshots as required for interim and final analyses. Assist in the preparation of abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, IRB submissions, and grant applications.
Required Skills and Abilities
1. Advanced statistical programming skills (e.g., SAS, R) required as well as experience with graphical software (e.g., PRISM, Visio).
2. A demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team is required.
3. Well-organized and detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to work on several projects simultaneously and to prioritize work to meet all needs on a timely basis is required.
4. Good analytical and statistical skills are required. The candidate must be able to creatively contribute to the formulation of statistical analysis plans.
5. Good oral and written communication skills are required. Candidate will be expected to participate as co-author in the preparation of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
1. Experience with additional statistical tools such as MPlus and Stata is preferred.
