Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Server to join our team! The Server is the face of our restaurant and plays an integral role in our customer’s dining experience. You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, take orders, and serve food and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Take food and beverage orders from customers

Answer questions about the menu and preparation

Provide accurate orders to the kitchen staff

Check with customers periodically during their meals to ensure they are satisfied

Process phone and POS take-out/ delivery orders from customers for food and beverages

Provide customers with their checks at the end of the meal and process payment

Maintain front of house cleanliness and order

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a server is preferred

Friendly and outgoing personality

Excellent communication skills

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays

Familiarity with food safety guidelines

Ability to work in a slow and also moderately -paced environment

English is required

Must be legally able to work

Compensation: $25.00 - $47.00 per hour

A South Florida Staple! Originally founded as a Japanese retail market in the early 80's outside of Homestead AF Base before Hurricane Andrew devastated the area in '92. In 1993 Fujiya Japanese Restaurant was reborn in its current location and has become an integral part of the community. Truly a go-to place for families and friends to share authentic Japanese cuisine as the founders Harry and Chika Lively envisioned.
