Server-Dining Associate - Part-Time - Evenings

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Food comforts the soul and excites the taste buds! As a Dining Associate, your role in bringing delicious meals to our residents is crucial. This position may prepare food and drinks, serve meals, follow basic menus and recipes, restock inventory, and keep records. By following sanitation, food handling, and safety policies, as well as building relationships with those around you, you will provide excellent service to our residents.

COMPENSATION:

The starting base rate of pay for a Dining Associate is $14.50 - $18.64, based on previous experiences and qualifications.

WORK SCHEDULE:

• Schedules are provided in advance, based upon staffing needs and the selected candidate's availability
• 3:30 PM -7:00 PM, 2-3 days per week (Monday-Friday) and every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
• less than 40 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks), less than 20 hours per week

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Dining/Food Services preferred but not required (such as cooking/serving food).
• Position requires long hours standing with the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the basics of the English language and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Possess basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations.
• Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
• Willingness to cross-train in various job duties within VMRC Dining Services.
• Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, coworkers, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner.
