About the Role

This full-time position is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments. This position will prepare items for shipment by performing assigned duties to PCs for People’s quality and productivity standards.  

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

• Review work orders and pick products according to specific instructions.
• Gather and pack equipment for online, bulk, and eBay/surplus orders.
• Create shipping labels and ensure accurate documentation.
• Palletize and wrap bulk orders for shipment.
• Assist with freight pick-ups and deliveries.
• Tie computers and hotspots to client accounts.
• Maintain accuracy of bulk order sheets, including PIDs and MEIDs.
• Complete NLAD sheets for ACP errors.

Receiving & Inventory Management

• Receive incoming shipments (freight, FedEx, UPS, etc.) and move items to designated storage areas.
• Reject damaged items, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to resolve issues.
• Maintain shipping/receiving records and supply inventory.
• Provide supervisors with shipping paperwork and bills of lading (BOL).

Quality Control & Assembly

• Test keyboards and monitors.
• Assemble keyboard packs.
• Clean laptops and provide finishing touches prior to shipping.
• Inspect and check the quality of laptops and other equipment before packaging.
• Produce bubble wrap and other packing materials as needed.
• PID monitors and ensure quality standards are met.

Process & Workplace Organization

• Work with managers to improve shipping/receiving processes.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces.
• Ensure equipment and materials are properly stored and maintained.

Customer & Volunteer Support

• Provide customer service assistance related to shipping inquiries.
• Support volunteer activities within the shipping and receiving department.

Desired Skills/Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Strong communication skills essential
• Packaging knowledge a plus
• Ability to estimate and meet deadlines
• Passion for computers and technology
• Computer repair experience helpful
• Ability to pass background check

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a workstation or service counter
• Ability to frequently lift or move items up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Frequent use of computer or other office equipment
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Capability to work in various indoor non temperature controlled environments
• Manual dexterity to handle tools, and small components
• Extended periods of walking or standing throughout the workday
• Visual acuity to read labels and perform detailed tasks
• Willingness to adhere to physical safety protocols
