Showboat Branson Belle Merchandise Team Member, Laytons Mercantile (Part-Time Seasonal, 2025)

This is a Part-Time Seasonal position.

This position begins now and ends 01/07/2026.

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Job Summary: 

Enjoy working as a Merchandise Team Member for the beautiful Showboat Branson Belle on Table Rock Lake in Branson, MO. We are looking for applicants that provide excellent guest service and a friendly, caring attitude. At Layton’s Mercantile, you will sell a wide assortment of fine ladies' apparel and accessories. We also offer fruit spreads, dip mixes, dressings, and fresh baked sweet treats.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

• Stocks shelves, counters, and tables with merchandise


• Sets up displays and arranges merchandise on counters and tables to promote sales


• Stamps, marks, and tags price on merchandise


• Obtains merchandise requested by the customer and receives merchandise selected by the customer


• Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise


• Accepts payment and makes change


• Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.


• Wraps or bags merchandise for customers


• Cleans shelves, counters, and tables


• Removes and records the amount of cash in the register at end of the shift


• Calculates sales discount to determine the price


• Keeps record of sales, prepares an inventory of stock, and orders merchandise

Required Skills:

• Must be comfortable working on a moving vessel away from land.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Point of Sale system.


• Able to communicate efficiently.

Required Experience:

• One to three months of related experience and/or training, related experience should include cash handling, is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift and/or move 25 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum


• The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously


• The ability to work in cramped quarters occasionally


• The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions


• The ability to work at a rapid speed frequently


• The ability to work in extreme weather occasionally
