Job Description - Site Based Match Support Specialist

Description

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Interview, assess, and screen individuals for needed services, including but not limited to providing support for other staff in processing site-based Little.
  2. Work with appropriate staff to ensure timeliness in processing volunteers.
  3. Actively recruit and market for Littles, with the focus on Site Based – Bigs in Schools volunteer recruitment. In addition, provide input and assistance in collaboration with the marketing department in recruiting Littles.
  4. Ability to research, initiate, plan and implement site-based programming.
  5. Supervise individual cases, Site Based matches, provide case management services, complete surveys, maintain casework records, and reports on matches. Follow timelines set forth in SOPs to do so. 
  6. Meet with Team Lead on a regular basis to discuss casework management and any concerns
  7. Attend trainings to further case management and other professional skills as scheduled and directed by supervisor.
  8. Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure that Site Based youth and volunteers are brought through the application process effectively and efficiently.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with schools and social services agencies as assigned by supervisor.
  10. Participate in public relations and fund-raising projects as requested by agency management.
  11. Perform other duties required by agency management and deemed necessary by supervisor.

OTHER MATCH SUPPORT FUNCTIONS

  1. Attend Match Support staff meetings, supervision, and trainings as directed by Team Lead.
  2. Attend quarterly All Staff meetings 
  3. Meet with Team Lead on a regular basis to discuss casework management and any concerns that may negatively impact a match.
  4. To share potential partnership relationships with development and/or marketing staff as discovered through volunteers and parents’ employers and affiliations.
  5. Attend trainings to further knowledge about department as directed.
  6. Attend Program Events, sponsored by Development 
  7. Volunteer Recognition Dinner (VRD) – All Required

SUPERVISION

  1. Report to the Site Based Match Support Team Lead.
  2. 90 Day Review and Annual Reviews

SALARY AND BENEFITS  

Starting hourly rate: $17- $21.15 per hour dependent upon qualifications and experience

Available benefits: 401k after 90 days & PTO after 1 year

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Knowledge of social work philosophy, principles and methods.
  2. Procuring and/or coordinating community resources.
  3. Ability to analyze behavior significance, formulate a plan of action.
  4. Most hours will occur Monday-Friday between 8 am – 3 pm between August-May.
  5. Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  6. Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
  7. Reliable transportation.
  8. Ability to manage time wisely & multi-task. 
  9. Professional attitude and manner.
  10. Ability to relate well to adults and youths of all demographics and socioeconomic status.
  11. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Emotional maturity, good judgment, integrity, flexibility, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree preferred in Social Work, Psychology, or an agency approved related field. High school diploma/GED equivalent and four years of agency approved work required if no bachelor’s degree.
