Position Summary Description
The Bishop’s School seeks a leave replacement sixth-grade science teacher for part of the 2025-2026 school year, beginning in October 2025 with an expected end date in March 2026. The sixth grade science curriculum at Bishop’s focuses on the engineering and design process, including mechanics, robotics, and design thinking. The science department seeks candidates who are enthusiastic about working with teaching teams and other departmental colleagues to develop, iterate upon and align lab-focused, inquiry-based, student-centered curricula throughout the science department.
In addition to the course load, this position is expected to serve as an advisor to a group of sixth-grade students and to participate as a member of the sixth-grade team. We seek candidates who are enthusiastic to participate on this grade level team, which facilitates collaboration with other sixth grade teachers and advisors to support students and align curriculum across the grade level.
