Soccer Referee

Join the Dundee Township Park District as a Soccer Referee and play an important role in creating a safe, respectful, and fun environment for children participating in our youth soccer leagues. This part-time position is perfect for individuals who enjoy the game and want to help young athletes grow through teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair competition.

What You’ll Do:

• Read, understand, and apply league rules for Grades 1–8
  • Officiate soccer games while maintaining control and ensuring fair play
  • Handle challenging situations calmly, including unruly players or spectators
  • Promote safety and sportsmanship throughout each game
  • Support the Dundee Township Park District’s mission of providing excellent service to the community
  • Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or incidents promptly
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude while representing the Park District
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Supervisor

What You Bring:

• Knowledge of soccer rules and basic officiating skills
  • Experience playing or coaching soccer preferred
  • Referee certification preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Confidence, professionalism, and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Commitment to safety, fairness, and a positive participant experience
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old

Schedule:

Saturdays starting at 9 a.m., with 3 to 4 games each week. Specific hours may vary.
