Job Description - Software Lead Developer for nunc.OS (Linux) System (m/f/d)

As the software lead developer, you will join our growing IoT and software team and be responsible for the continued design, development, and testing of the nunc.OS system (IoT, based on Linux), ensuring its scalability and maintainability.
Your area of responsibility begins at today’s pre-launch version for the existing Linux system (nunc.OS) and continues through all stages of the development plan to the successful introduction of the solution.
Afterwards ongoing development and implementation of community feedback, new developments and implementation will be key.
This requires both your specialist coding knowledge and your practical skills.
You will be responsible for overseeing, steering and driving the entire integration of the nunc.OS system (connected to IoT grinder, machine including embedded, software, hardware, recipes, etc.) together with the nunc.dev teams
You will work closely in the respective project team with app development, UX/UI design, software development, quality and the corresponding test groups. Together you will optimize the nunc.system in all aspects and ensure seamless integration and a uniquely awesome user experience.
You will work directly with the founders and executives of the team

JavaScript, Python, Dart, TypeScript, SQL, C, C++
Flutter, Angular, Kafka, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Docker, Firebase
On the embedded side we also work with Yocto Linux

You have successfully collaborated with the software team to finalize the specifications for the nunc.OS system
You have led the development and testing efforts of the initial version of the nunc.OS system software for the market launch
You have ensured its scalability and maintainability
You have hired and mentored the first people on your team of software developers
You have worked with the team to further refine and implement the best software development process.

Strong skills in C/C++ programming language
The Software Lead should be enthusiastically driven by the idea of bringing great coffee quality and product quality to home baristas
Deep understanding of Yocto Linux, IoT, cloud computing, and digital technologies, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes
10+ years of experience in embedded systems and software development
Proven track record of delivering successful software projects on Linux
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, interactive media, IT or similar
Fluent in German and English
You are familiar with Git, Jira and Agile methodologies
You are open for traveling to workshops with partners
