SUMMARY OF POSITION

This is a full-time position includes a variety of patient care services. Primary responsibility is to perform ultrasound exams. Ability to utilize a PACS and EMR system for performing patient exams and electronic storage of exams. Transcribe dictated imaging reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Welcomes patients and visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.

- Verifies patient information and identification is correct for services ordered.

- Record and document patient information, including medical history.

- Assist Medical staff with patient care and communications.

- Manage biohazard waste.

- Upholds all infection control, specimen collection procedures, OHSA, HIPAA and regulatory body requirements to ensure cleanliness and safety of others and self.

- Instrument sterilization.

- All ultrasound exams, including OB-GYN, abdomen and vascular.

Exception: Echocardiograms

Instrument: Samsung HS60

- Fetal Non-Stress Testing Perform fetal non-stress testing on maternity patients.

Instrument: Corometrics 115 Fetal Monitor

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS 

Minimum education:  Associate or Bachelor degrees’ 

Required Certifications:  American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

Preferred:  Two years’ experience in related medical field. 

SKILLS

- Communicate with patients and others.

- Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail.

- Knowledge in the fields of medicine, anatomy, and physiology

- Essential computer skills are necessary.
