Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with emergency room protocols, including vascular imaging.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Accurately document patient information and imaging results for medical records.
- Work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to provide timely and detailed imaging reports.
- Maintain equipment functionality through regular checks and troubleshooting as needed.
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols at all times.
- Stay up to date with advancements in ultrasound technology and emergency imaging techniques.
Qualifications
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification is required.
- Vascular imaging experience is required; RVT certification is preferred.
- Must be able to travel to Virginia Mason Franciscan Emergency Room in Bremerton, WA.
- Experience in obstetric/gynecologic (Ob/Gyn) sonography is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and handle emergency cases efficiently.
