Overview: The Special Events Lead is a hands-on, leadership-focused role responsible for guiding the
special events crew and supporting event coordinators in the successful execution of weddings and
special events. This individual will work across multiple venues and environments, leading staff,
setting up spaces, maintaining cleanliness, and interacting with guests to ensure each event runs
smoothly. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, customer-service oriented, and capable of
working independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
1. Ensure event spaces are clean, well-organized, and guest-ready
2. Communicate, implement, and uphold all policies, rules, and procedures with staff and guests
3. Develop and assign bi-weekly tasks and projects for event staff
4. Ensure smooth and timely transitions between events
5. Assist Coordinators with daily tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, meeting with
clients, and assisting with all event or wedding-related needs
Additional Functions
1. Inspect and report equipment condition post-use; verify items against inventory lists
2. Maintain accurate inventory of all event-related supplies and equipment
3. Keep decor, furnishings, and storage areas clean, organized, and well-maintained
4. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
1. Valid California Driver’s License
2. High school diploma required; some college preferred

Physical Demands
1. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and walk on uneven surfaces
2. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, snow, and ice
3. Ability to work long or irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
4. Physically capable of completing all job duties, including: leaning, bending, stooping,
reaching, pulling, pushing, squatting, and twisting, climbing/descending stairs or trails,
sweeping, watering, moving hoses, standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods,
navigating trails during day and night
