Special Events Team (weekend-based role)

Through innovative classes, creative camps, one-of-a-kind birthday celebrations and events, our  approach inspires each child’s inherent love of learning in a fun and energetic environment.  

NY Kids Club & NY Preschool is inspiring today’s children to succeed in tomorrow’s world with our love for play— and we’re looking for Energetic Special Events Team Members to join our growing team!

Our Part-time Special Events Team Members are expected to be available for work Friday evening (5:30pm-8:30pm), Saturday (9am-8pm), and Sunday (9am-5pm) with the opportunity to work throughout the week when available.

Here’s what a Special Events Team Member’s day looks like:

• Safety is our number one pillar! Ensure each child's health and safety at all times through adherence to our daily protocols
• Bring our unique, creative and original curriculum to life in Birthdays, PJ parties, Classes, and other Special Events
• Create unforgettable moments for both children and their parents in a creative and thematic setting
• Create a complete experience from the moment our families walk in the door to when they leave by maintaining the highest level of customer service and hospitality possible.
• Be the star of the show and be a team player ensuring children’s activities, and all transitions run smoothly

Requirements

This job is for you if you:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Have at least 1 year of experience working with children
• Are full of personality with a high degree of professionalism
• Well-spoken and comfortable speaking with children, parents, and caregivers
• Event hosting experience or theatrical/edutainment experience preferred but not required
• Are a self-­starter, highly motivated, dynamic, and a creative team player
• Are a lifelong learner!

The pay rate for this role is $25.00/hour (eligible for tips as well)

Physical Demands:

The role involves standing, walking, sitting, constant movement, and occasional climbing. The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. Specific sensory abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
