Specialist, Finance Services Part-Time

WSU Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Specialist, Financial Services to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for accounts payable data entry, filing vendor records, preparing reports, and assisting with other accounting-related tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Compensation: $19.50 / hr
• Worksite Location: NCAT.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:

• Perform data entry related to accounts payable
• Maintain vendor records in an organized and timely manner
• Communicate professionally with internal departments and external organizations
• Assist the Finance and Administration department as needed
• Participate in at least 20 hours of professional development annually
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and organizational policies
• Protect confidential information and handle sensitive data appropriately
• Operate job-related tools, equipment, and systems effectively
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Experience:

• Two years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer functions
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong judgment, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
