Celligent Diagnostics is looking for a PART-TIME Specimen Accessioner who can work 25-29 hours per week (MONDAY-FRIDAY 5:30pm - 11:00pm). This individual will be responsible for ensuring specimens are received, accessioned and reported to the client with accuracy and efficiency. This position requires strong data entry skills.

Celligent Diagnostics is committed to delivering innovative pathology services to meet the diagnostic needs of the medical community and help improve patient care through timely and accurate pathology. 

We are a high-complexity CLIA-certified clinical laboratory, which provides Histology, Cytology and pharma services specializing in cancer diagnostic testing. We offer the clinical expertise of over 30 board certified pathologists covering multiple sub-specialties.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive and accession surgical specimens
• Data entry of patient demographics, insurance information and tests ordered
• Scanning documents into the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
• QA review of specimens and supporting documents received from clients

Work Schedule

This is a part-time role, Monday – Friday, 5:30pm - 11:00pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong Data Entry experience
• Extremely high attention to detail
• Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English
• Ability to understand and use anatomic pathology and medical terminology
• Good level of range and clarity of vision to apply labels and read small print
• Must be able to stand and/or sit for up long periods of time
