Position
We are hiring a Specimen Collector (Toxicology) to join our Las Vegas team. This is a stationary, part-time position based at one of our partner clinics, focused on conducting non-observed toxicology collections and requiring a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

This is an entry-level role, ideal for candidates who have either recently completed a healthcare certification program or have relevant experience in patient care or clinical support. Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as errors in specimen handling or documentation can directly impact patient outcomes.

Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Total: 24 hours per week

W2 hourly employees receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays and between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., if applicable.

Pay Range: $18–20/hour (DOE)
Anticipated Start Date: July 7, 2025

Responsibilities:

• Conduct non-observed urine collections for toxicology testing in compliance with clinic protocols and patient privacy standards
• Greet patients and verify identity before collection
• Label and package specimens accurately and ensure chain-of-custody documentation is complete
• Input patient and specimen data into the laboratory information system (LIS)
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and internal safety/infection control procedures
• Maintain a clean, professional, and organized workspace
• Provide courteous and compassionate service to patients and clinic staff
• Report any specimen issues or concerns promptly to the lab team
• Attend compliance trainings or team check-ins as needed
• Accuracy is critical in this role, as mistakes in specimen labeling or documentation may directly impact patient care
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Comfortable working in a patient-facing healthcare setting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid photo ID and reliable transportation
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Comfortable using basic technology (e.g., LIS, tablets, secure apps)
• Able to stand for extended periods and handle biohazard materials (PPE provided)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to protocol adherence
• One of the following:
  • Recent certification or training in phlebotomy, medical assisting (MA), CNA, EMT, or a related field
  • OR at least 6 months of hands-on experience in a patient care or clinical support role
• Familiarity with HIPAA and lab protocols is highly preferred
