Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, licensed Speech Therapist to join our team! As a Speech Therapist, you will be working with preschool students with disabilities, assessing their speech needs, and creating personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also be documenting all student care, observing and participating in treatment, and adjusting goals and milestones as needed for the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, is able to provide compassionate care to every student, and has excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and small group speech therapy in accordance with the students IEP
- Develop progress reports and customized short- and long-term goals
- Maintaining excellent records of student needs, care, and outcome
- Work closely with the family, interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
Qualifications
- Active NYS state license for practicing speech and language pathology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong charting and documentation skills
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
- Independent contractor preferred
