Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, licensed speech-language pathologist to join our team! As a speech-language pathologist, you will be meeting with new families and their child, assessing their speech-language needs, and creating personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also be documenting daily notes, summary of progress, and assessment results. You will be providing treatment, parent and caregiver coaching and education, and adjusting goals and milestones as needed for the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of communication disorders and other developmental disabilities and delays. The candidate must be able to provide compassionate care to every child and their families, and must have excellent organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assessment and treatment
- Create treatment plans customized for that child and their family, working with them to set short and long term goals for their speech and wellness
- Implementation of the treatment plan, adjusting as needed to ensure successful outcomes
- Daily documentation and report writing
- Work closely with the family and caregivers to ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need for success
Qualifications
- CA State License for Speech-Language Pathology or RPE
- ASHA Certificate of Competence of Clinical Fellowship
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with basic computer programs
