Speech Therapy PRN

Summary

Job Description:

• The Speech Language Pathologist shall plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual 
  patients and patient groups according to the principles and practices of speech therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including evaluate and treat patients; maintain communication with doctors and other health personnel; and supervise volunteers and students.
• The Speech Language Pathologist will assist with education for the speech therapy staff, hospital staff, and community at large as needed.
• The Speech Language Pathologist will follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• The Speech Language Pathologist follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Requires a Master’s or Doctoral degree in the area of speech language pathology or communication disorders from a program accredited by the Council for Academic Accreditation of the American Speech Language Hearing Association, or higher.
• Kentucky State License or interim license as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Hearing Association or in the case of an interim license, is in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required.
• BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) – required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in acute care, SNF, and/or outpatient experience preferred.
