Sports Summer Camp Counselor

Description

Our summer camp is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Summer Camp Counselors. As a counselor, you will be responsible for leading and guiding campers aged 6 to 12 years old in various sports activities. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children and enjoy teaching and helping improve camper's skills in sports.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and give guidance to campers in various sports activities
• Ensure the safety of all campers while having fun
• Solve problems and be self-motivated
• Give guidance to other counselors when assistance is needed
• Give instructions to an assistant counselor and communicate campers’ behavior
• Arrive early to prep for daily activities
• Work with other counselors to ensure equipment is safely stored

Requirements

• Genuine love for children and enjoy teaching and helping improve camper's skills in sports
• Ability to lead and give guidance to campers aged 6 to 12 years old
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Demonstrates high energy and passion for sport
• Be able to work inside and outside in different elements
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to solve problems and be self-motivated
• Ability to pass a background check
• First Aid and CPR Training needed or will need to be completed by June 1, 2025 for all counselors to have by the first day of camp
