Housekeeping/cleaning position available.

Requirements

ALL THINGS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

(Every week rotate jobs – this week do bedrooms, next week do bathrooms.) 

DAILY

• Turn lights on (of not on) be sure to turn them off when leaving. 
• Wear gloves. 
• Clean bathroom, sink and toilet and sanitize all fixtures, and wet mop. 
• Refill toilet tissue, paper products and soap container. 
• Wash off food table. 
• Microfiber all floors (in S style). 
• Use a clean rag(s) in each room. 
• Empty trash and take to the dumpster (DO NOT dray bag on floor) 
• Take rags and dirty mops to the laundry and replenish supplies. 
• Hallway – spot mop. 
• Elevators – check floors and stainless steel doors as needed.

WEEKLY (do each room thoroughly once a week) 

• Use bowl cleaner in toilets 
• Clean showers completely (if applicable) (or public showers/tub rooms.) 
• Dust edge of ceiling with feather duster all around and down corners. 
• Dust items on walls, dust light fixtures and lamps, dust all surfaces (move items and replace after cleaning). Dust TV – screen, top, sides and back. 
• Dust baseboards (you may need to use a damp rag). 
• Check chairs (if they are not sitting in them) wipe down or vacuum if needed. 
• Wet mop all floors (use doodle bug and string mop). Move furniture, that you can, when wet mopping.   
• Vacuum carpeted areas. 
• Wash hand railings and door handles. 
• Hallways – thoroughly wet mop. (use S style). 
• On Friday, clean housekeeping cupboard and cart, rinse and clean off wringer bucket. Check and restock supplies. 

MONTHLY

• Dust blinds and vents in all rooms, also behind blinds. 
• Clean between windows and screens and sills. 

GENERAL ITEM

• When needed – notify supervisor as to room(s) that need scrubbing or waxing. 
• When needed – report to head nurse or supervisor repairs needed (use special papers)
