Student Ambassadors are essential members of the Office of Student Experience at Stephens College. They serve as the first point of contact for incoming students and their families, playing a critical role in welcoming and engaging prospective and new students. With enthusiasm, leadership, and a passion for student life, Student Ambassadors help build lasting connections, foster a sense of belonging, and promote the Stephens experience year-round.

 Student Ambassadors are instrumental in welcoming new students and families to campus, making them feel at home, and serving as the initial point of connection with incoming students. The Student Ambassadors are expected to generate excitement, energy, and be the point of contact for the incoming students. This position makes a difference to the incoming students and their connection to Stephens College. The Student Ambassador’s will assist in Orientation preparation and be available for training. 

Student Ambassador expectations

  • Exhibit leadership potential.
  • Possess the following personal qualities: maturity, responsibility, initiative, punctuality, self-confidence, motivation, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, enthusiasm, creativity and resourcefulness, positive attitude.
  • Exhibit good interpersonal and group presentation skills.
  • Exhibit the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of team players.

Student Ambassador responsibilities:

  • Serve as Campus Tour guide for prospective students, guests, and families.
  • Serve as an Orientation Group Leader during Welcome Weekend.
  • Serve as a point of contact for incoming students prior to arrival and during the year.
  • Participate in college activities such as visit days, family and friends’ weekend, alumna weekend, and information sessions.
  • Interact with prospective students via phone or in person.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This is a 9-month position with potential summer hours, offering valuable professional development, early move-in, and a leadership role in key college events including Orientation, campus tours, and special weekends.
