Student - Recycling Assistants (Mission Integration Office)

Position Summary: 
The Recycling Assistant position in the Mission Integration Office of Newman University requires self-motivation, a belief in the value of recycling and an openness to physical work.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Weekly check the blue totes and green recycle boxes in each building on campus.
2. Transport recyclable cardboard to the proper “dumpster” weekly.
3. Transport recyclable materials to the proper bin every other week.
4. Help to keep the recycling efforts flexible and working on campus.
5. Complete University-required trainings, including Title IX.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
2. Must be a current Newman University Student enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours)
3. Communication and organizational skills
4. Must be available to cover the lunch hour (flexible 11 am – 2 pm)

Number of hours per week:  8-10, depending on student’s availability

Days and Times needed:   arranged with each student. Flexible hours depending on student’s availability.

Number of positions available:  2

Rate of Pay:  $8.25
