Student: School of Arts Events Support Assistant 2025-26

The Schwartz School of the Arts seeks to hire one student employee to serve as the Event Support Assistant. This position is for the 2025-2026 academic year at up to 10 hours/week.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

• On-site event support, including: setup, tear down, registration, wayfinding, etc.
• Assist with event development, including: scheduling, logistics, resources
• Communication with event partners and collaborating entities
• Copywriting and creation of promotional strategy
• Occasional dip into the graphic design process
• Other duties as assigned

Work-study eligible students welcome.

Compensation and Benefits

• Rate of Pay: $15.97/hour
• Minnesota Sick and Safe Time
• Not eligible for health insurance benefits
  
   

• Must be able to regularly work evenings and weekends
• Comfortable in Google workspace applications
• Communicate clearly in writing and in person
• Attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work independently
• Focus on creative problem-solving

Preferred Experience

• Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g. Canva) and video editing
• Staging/event experience
• Public-facing hospitality or guest service experience
