Are you passionate about helping individuals with autism and developmental disabilities thrive? Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is seeking flexible and committed Substitute Behavior Interventionists (BIs) to join our dynamic team and provide coverage support across a variety of locations throughout Los Angeles County.

As a substitute BI, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring continuity of care when regularly assigned staff are unavailable. Whether you're gaining experience in ABA or looking for a more flexible schedule, this position offers meaningful work with supportive supervision and paid training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy using evidence-based strategies across home, clinic, school, or community settings


• Step in to support clients when regular BI is absent


• Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior support strategies


• Teach skills in communication, daily living, academics, and social interaction


• Reduce challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement and proactive techniques


• Document sessions accurately and submit timely data


• Collaborate with clinical supervisors and attend team meetings as needed


• Support caregivers and team members with ongoing communication and professionalism

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)


• Availability for at least 15 hours/week and to accept coverage shifts


• Comfortable driving up to 25 miles within LA County


• Reliable vehicle, valid CA driver’s license, and auto insurance


• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills


• Experience with children or individuals with special needs is a MUST


• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
