ABOUT THE POSITION

The Summer Activity Coordinator is a key member of the Colorado Dream Foundation team, leading activities for youth in grades 3-8. This position supports youth’s academic, social, and emotional growth through the design and delivery of engagement activities. This person also serves as an advocate for all youth and families in the program. The Summer Activity Coordinator reports to the Site Leader at their assigned site. Please note that the hours are Monday to Wednesday 10a - 3p for the duration of Summer Camp. 

The Summer Activity Coordinator’s primary responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement dynamic physical education activities focused on developing youth collaboration, identity, self-awareness, and conflict resolution skills. 


• Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students.


• Collaborate with faculty, parents, and community partners to promote wellness initiatives.


• Manage facility usage, and sports equipment inventory.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper supervision of events.


• Evaluate program effectiveness and make improvements as needed.


• Confidentiality: Maintain discretion and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Other Duties

• Build strong relationships with and among youth


• Other duties as assigned 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• An unwavering belief that all youth can achieve and be successful


• Understanding of social-emotional learning


• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, non-verbal)


• Record of accomplishment contributing to an organizational culture that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion


• Demonstrated belief in Colorado Dream Foundation's mission and values


• Bilingual, Spanish is a plus

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be 18 or older


• High school diploma or GED


• Must pass a criminal background check


• CPR and First Aid Certificate 

SALARY AND BENEFITS

This is a part-time (up to 25 hours per week), non-exempt position. The starting salary is between $20 and $23 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits include paid holidays and birthdays.
