SUMMER FOOD KITCHEN ASSISTANT - South County Temporary Part-Time

I. Position Data:

Title: Summer Food Kitchen Assistant  

Grade: 2 Exempt Non-Exempt X

Reports to: Child Care Council Director

II. Basic Function or Position Summary:

Assists with food preparation and deliver for children and other customers. Assists with cleanup of kitchen, dishes, and prep areas. Pay Rate is $15.76 per hour.

Requirements

IV. Position Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

• Food preparation
• Set up for delivery of food
• Serves meals
• Place food into vehicles for transport to off-site locations
• Wash dishes, floors, and food prep areas
• Transport food and supplies off-site
• Assist with stocking of groceries
• Complete needed paperwork 
• Promotes agency mission
• Maintains confidentiality and complies with the Code of Ethics
• Maintains consistent professional customer service
• Job performance incorporates integrated service delivery model while promoting self-sufficiency.
• Other duties as designated by supervisor

A. Internal: Center Directors, Head Cook. Assistant Cook, Child Care Council Staff 

B. External: Vendors, customers, and agencies

VII. Organizational Responsibilities:

• Adheres to Summer Food and CACFP food preparation and safety regulations

VIII. Knowledge, Skills Required:

• 16 years of age or HS diploma and/or GED 
• Knowledge of health and sanitation procedures and practices. 

IX. Special Requirements:

• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required: subject to random drug and alcohol testing for cause.
• Ability to lift to and including 50 pounds
• Must be able to provide consistent even tempered customer service at all times
• Must be able to provide proof of Covid Vaccine
