Job Description - Summer Grounds Maintenance

Brewery Ommegang is recognized as a leader in the high-end beer segment. As the fourth largest craft brewery by volume in the United States, our beers and ciders are built by our people, who are bound together by a devotion to our products and customers.

SUMMARY:

This position will require the employee to maintain the grounds during the summer months. The employee must be flexible and work around the weather and Tap House business hours to complete the tasks needed each week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Mow, trim, clean up debris on OMG property once a week with the supplied maintenance tools/equipment

Tend to flower boxes (planting, watering, weeding, etc.)

Perform routine maintenance on grounds maintenance equipment

Keep a clean work area

Manage inventory/supplies used to perform job duties(gas, trimmer line, oil, etc)

Follow established procedures for the safe operation of all equipment

Confirm that all machines are locked out and tagged out when being serviced

Submit work requests to the Maintenance Manager for items that may need maintenance or service

Keep the outside grounds of OMG looking like the world class brewery that it is

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Experience in grounds maintenance and the equipment

Mowers, loaders, trimmers, chain saw, etc

Good oral and written communication skills

Must be able to work a flexible schedule

Work with integrity and work ethically

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs, occasionally 100+ lbs with assistance.

Frequent standing and walking.

Climbing ladders and steps

Reaching Bending and twisting overhead, below the waist, and across the body.

Manual dexterity and fine motor skills

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
