Job Overview:
We are seeking energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic Tennis Camp Counselors to lead campers in skill development, drills, games, and team-building activities. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about tennis, enjoy working with kids, and have experience in coaching, teaching, or mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and instruct campers in tennis drills, games, and activities.
- Ensure a fun, safe, and positive camp environment for all participants.
- Teach the fundamentals of tennis, including proper grip, strokes, footwork, and strategy.
- Lead warm-ups, drills, and match play tailored to different skill levels.
- Foster teamwork and sportsmanship among campers.
- Assist with camp setup, cleanup, and equipment management.
- Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to campers.
- Monitor camper behavior and ensure adherence to camp rules and safety guidelines.
- Communicate with parents, fellow counselors, and camp directors as needed.
- Act as a role model, demonstrating respect, enthusiasm, and leadership.
Qualifications:
- Passion for tennis and youth development.
- Prior experience in coaching, teaching, or working with children preferred.
- Basic understanding of tennis rules, techniques, and match play (advanced playing experience is a plus).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and be active for extended periods.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
