About the Position: Harris Health System is seeking an Operations Dispatcher for full-time work at LBJ Hospital. The Operations Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring the quality, efficiency, and performance of the support services division across multiple departments. This role involves managing requests via dispatch, maintaining direct contact, and documenting interactions from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate is efficient, organized, and has strong communication skills to handle high-volume tasks in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

• Degree: Associate's preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
• Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of dispatching experience
• Communication Skills:
  • Above average verbal communication (heavy public contact)
  • Strong writing skills for correspondence and report writing
• Bilingual Skills: Spanish preferred
• Proficiencies: MS Outlook and general PC skills
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to walk long distances
  • Ability to push/carry items of various sizes
  • Understanding of the importance of timely responses
• Work Schedule: Must be flexible and available for holidays and overtime
• Equipment Operated: Radios, iPads, and pagers
