Our fast-growing and dynamic business is seeking a Supply Manager to ensure the success of move management projects by coordinating supplies, as well as maintaining vehicles and storage spaces, helping to deliver a seamless, stress-free experience for clients and reliable support for the team.

The Downsizers is the Triangle’s leading full-service move management team, specializing in supporting older adults and individuals in transition. Many of our projects are fast-paced and physically demanding, often taking place under tight deadlines. They frequently involve working with older adults during significant life transitions, which can be emotionally sensitive. The ideal candidate is compassionate, patient, and adaptable—capable of offering thoughtful support with empathy, dignity, and professionalism.

We proudly serve the entire Triangle region (including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Durham, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Holly Springs, Hillsborough, Fuquay-Varina, and surrounding areas). The Downsizers work in private homes, apartment complexes and senior communities.

Job Description

The Supply Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of projects by managing all aspects of supply logistics—from purchasing to organizing and delivering materials. This hands-on position also involves overseeing storage and vehicle upkeep. The Supply Manager acts as a key communicator within the team, provides exceptional client service, and contributes to the overall efficiency and success of the business.

  • Create and maintain a weekly supply delivery and pickup schedule, and communicate it to the team on a consistent basis.

  • Manage supply ordering, inventory, fulfillment, and delivery for projects to ensure materials are ready and available.

  • Assist with preparation and staging of supplies for upcoming jobs.

  • Ensure vehicles are properly loaded, maintained, and ready for team use upon arrival.

  • Safely secure supplies during transport to prevent damage.

  • Provide excellent client service and maintain clear communication with team members.

  • Oversee the scheduling, tasks, and performance of the evening Supply Associate.

  • Submit expenses and required documentation promptly for invoicing.

  • Oversee vehicle fleet maintenance, cleaning, fueling, and record-keeping.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage units.

  • Deliver items to consignors and nonprofit partners as needed.

  • Model dependability by showing up on time and ready to support the team with the tools and mindset needed for a successful day.

  • Manage time effectively to support multiple clients with punctuality and minimal disruption.

  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

  • Complete required training and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates physical dexterity and the fitness required to safely perform tasks involving heavy lifting, bending, and reaching. Must be comfortable in varying weather conditions.

  • Proficient in navigating project supply requests, inventory, email, timesheets, expense report submissions, and scheduling systems.

  • Compassionate and patient, with a genuine interest in supporting older adults and individuals in transition, as well as our team.

  • Eager to learn and adaptable to different personalities.

  • Proactively seeks opportunities to support both team members and clients.

  • Uplifts team morale with a positive attitude and sense of humor, especially during high-pressure or fast-paced situations.

  • Previous experience in logistics, moving, or warehouse work is a plus.

  • Must be comfortable driving an 18' box truck, as well as a 14-ft ProMaster High-Roof Van.

  • Valid driver’s license is required for fleet management, supply deliveries, and other off-site tasks.

This candidate must be available daily during the week starting at 7:30am for supply and fleet management. This daily shift will end at approximately 4:30pm.

Range: $20-$22/hour
