Tsunami Sushi is looking for dedicated Chefs to join our dynamic team!

Tsunami Sushi blends Louisiana hospitality with exceptional sushi, sashimi, and sake. Since opening in 2000, we've expanded across Louisiana, including our Highland location. We prioritize guest experience through teamwork, professionalism, and passion. Join our vibrant team and be part of something special!

What We’re Looking For:

Dependable, focused, and efficient kitchen professionals

Experience in a high-volume, scratch kitchen or sushi environment preferred

Ability to maintain speed, accuracy, and high standards under pressure

A team-first attitude and commitment to professionalism

Strong prep and organization skills

Food safety knowledge and clean work habits are a must

Key Responsibilities:

Sushi Chefs:

Prepare sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls with precision and consistency

Maintain fish quality, freshness, and proper storage practices

Prep daily ingredients in accordance with par levels to ensure smooth service

Keep sushi station fully stocked, clean, and guest-facing ready at all times

Work closely with FOH to ensure fast, accurate ticket execution

Hot Line Chefs:

Execute hot appetizers, grilled items, and entrées with consistency and care

Maintain station par levels, cleanliness, and proper labeling/storage

Work multiple tickets at once while maintaining plating standards and timing

Communicate clearly with kitchen and expo to support smooth service
