Swim Team Dry Land Coach

Description

We are looking for a motivated, positive and responsible individual to join our Competitive Aquatics team.  The Swim Team Dryland Coach is responsible for instructing swimmers how to properly use equipment, how to do exercises safely and must be able to create customized programs to meet the needs of each practice group through their knowledge base and training.  Successful candidates must be able to interpret and instruct lesson plans and adjust, as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

• Deliver quality lesson plans according to participants’ age, level and week of the session. 
• Relate to each participant equally and consistently through the entire class session. 
• Adapt to changes well, such as: program, student’s ability level, space availability, equipment availability and modifications to class plan as needed.
• Lead a group of children and take control of situations through quick and appropriate responses, if issues arise.
• Train athletes within your scope of knowledge.

Hours:  Weekdays 5PM - 7:30PM

Pay Range: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour, based education and experience

Requirements

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Must possess, maintain and renew a personal training or group fitness certification through a national organization
• Strong understanding of proper fitness evaluation techniques
• Thorough knowledge of various types of exercise equipment
• Ability to design safe exercise programs for the needs of various individuals. 
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience working with members of all ages and abilities.
