Job Description - Tack Shop Clerk (Seasonal Part Time)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining, and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.
Displays a courteous and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with the public and Builds Rewarding Relationships.
Greeting guests in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner, upon arrival to Outlet.
Must maintain and secure all cash and cash equivalents in possession, while providing accurate reporting and financial transactions through the POS systems.
Prepares all settlement paperwork in a consistent and organized manner.
Accurately records all Tack Shop revenues and corresponding receipts of money, credit cards, complimentary, and coupon settlements.
Make deliveries to barns in all weather conditions via golf cart.
Assists with monthly inventories to ensure a complete and accurate count of all merchandise.
Ensures that the work area is clean and sanitary in accordance with Local, State, and Federal Health Department Codes.
Reports all guest compliments and complaints to the Food & Beverage Shift Manager and Outlet Manager.
Communicate (both written and verbal) with and promote positive team members and guest relations.
Maintain professionalism at all times when working with other team members and/or guests.
Performs all other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have previous retail experience.
Knowledge of the Racing Industry and horse supplies/ products is preferred.
Must be able to complete the background check and licensing process, required by the Delaware Lottery.
Knowledge of Point Of Sales operating systems is preferred.
Act with discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Must be able to walk and stand for at least a full eight (8)-hour shift.
Must be able to lift, up to 25 lbs in weight and ability to bend, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp as needed.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to work in areas that could have high volumes, diverse clientele, noise, music, minimal and/or bright lighting, and variation of climate control.
The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively communicate with guests, co-workers, and management is mandatory.
Must be able to handle all types of guest-related situations; relay all guest compliments and complaints to department management
