Tax Analyst (Part-Time)

First National's Loan Servicing Team is looking for a professional and highly organized Tax Analyst to join the Property Tax Team. This role ensures accurate and timely disbursement of tax escrow funds and compliance with all regulatory guidelines.  The Tax Analyst will work with tax authorities to accurately disburse borrower funds to obtain any discounts available while providing exceptional service.  The successful candidate will be analytical and motivated by deadlines to strive to complete work with time to spare.  The Tax Analyst will also have an eye for detail, problem-solving abilities, a capability to multi-task and prioritize, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Monday - Friday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
30 hours/week
Location: On-site at our Lansing, Michigan office

Responsibilities:

• Ensure prompt and accurate data entry of tax set up and tax bills into servicing software


• Punctual disbursement of escrow funds to tax authorities and home owner associations (HOAs)


• Prepare and mail letters to meet compliance requirements


• Timely follow up on customer calls, emails, and faxes


• Analyze and monitor escrow accounts

Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills (telephone, e-mail, and in-person)


• Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail and follow-through


• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


• Well versed in Internet search tools to gather data and create payments


• Escrow, Tax, accounting, accounts payable, or financial background beneficial, but not required


• Bilingual communication, in Spanish or Portuguese, desired, but not required
