Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic Teacher to join our team! Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!

Responsibilities:

Assist students individually and in small groups

Supervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the school

Enforce classroom rules and procedures

Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records

Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacher

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a teacher is preferred

Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management

Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Energetic and positive attitude

Ability to pass a background check

Compensation: $15.25 - $17.50 per hour

James and Iris Crilley designed and opened Stonewall Day Care Center, Inc. in October 1979. With a formal background in Public School Education and Commercial Construction, they developed a safe and bright facility for children.

As a classroom teacher for preschoolers, Iris Crilley quickly saw the eagerness of her students to grow and learn. Whether the subject was a sign language activity or an introduction to computers, the children absorbed every piece of information given to them. It was obvious to Mrs. Crilley that these children were involved in a new approach to child care and learning.

Thirty five years later, Stonewall Day Care Center, Inc. continues to improve their curriculum by updating their materials with innovative ideas.
