Job Description - Technical Support Specialist - Part-time

At Bluesight, our mission is to create groundbreaking medication intelligence solutions that increase efficiency, safety and visibility for health systems and pharmaceutical manufacturers.  We empower our customers to deliver the right medicine to the right patient at the right time, every time.  We are a high growth healthcare information technology company with a start-up 'vibe' but over 3,000 customers tracking medications using our proven solutions.

We are seeking part-time Technical Support Specialist for a hybrid role with some time in our Alexandria, VA office and some hours remote work-from-home. Interested candidates must live in the United States and be eligible to work for any employer without work visa sponsorship. Work duties will include various projects related to support for our internal employees and external Hospital customers.

You must be available to work part-time hours during standard EST business hours.



Representative Job Duties:

    • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and mobile devices across the organization.
    • Install, configure, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade laptop hardware and software
    • Troubleshooting equipment support, inventory tracking, and mobile device management.
    • Troubleshoot issues in person, by phone, email, and through helpdesk software
    • Track, manage, and ship IT equipment and maintain accurate inventory records
    • Document troubleshooting steps taken and escalate issues when appropriate. 
    • Other technical support tasks as needed

Required Skills and Capabilities:

    • The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically skilled, and able to work independently in a fast-paced corporate environment while maintaining a professional and positive company image.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop hardware and software support or configuration
    • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
    • Strong technical knowledge of Mac and Windows-based desktop hardware and software
    • Experiencing administering the Google Workspace applications
    • You are tech-savvy and comfortable leveraging technical tools
    • Strong and reliable internet access from your home
    • Strong communication skills
    • Customer service orientation
    • Availability to work part-time hours during EST business hours
$23 - $27 an hour
Hourly rate offered will be dependent upon your qualifications, experience, and your geographic location.
This position is a remote position and open to applicants in the continental United States.
