Overview
The Educational Technology department at Westminster Theological Seminary provides faculty with white-glove support for all their instructional technology needs. Ed Tech designs, implements, maintains, and refines systems that are easy to use for faculty, students, and staff across campus. Ed Tech supports all Audio/Visual needs for classes, chapel services, special events, and video conferencing. Ed Tech is responsible for the Learning Management System (Canvas) to ensure smooth operation for both students and faculty. Other key systems requiring support are Google, Populi (Student Information System), and Notion.
The Tech Specialist will be working with supporting the various tech needs of faculty and students. Support may include physical interventions to address on-campus AV and IT needs. This role will assist faculty and students with inquiries they may have relating to our platforms and tools. The Tech Specialist will also know when to escalate matters to the appropriate engineering teams. Finally, the ideal candidate for this role will have an interest in improving processes and developing high-levels of competency in supporting the various first-line technical support needs of the Tech.
