This position handles business, nonprofit and consumer clients’ banking transactions in a professional, friendly and timely manner. These clients request the tellers provide specific services such as deposits and withdrawals to savings or checking accounts, etc. The teller must decide whether to fulfill a client’s request based on policies and procedures and will identify potential additional financial products and services that may fulfill a client’s unmet needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS with PERFORMANCE STANDARDS and ANNUAL GOALS
Accept and Process Client Transactions:
Service clients quickly and ensure fluidity within the teller area.
Accept and process business, consumer and nonprofit clients’ checking and savings deposits.
Cash checks and handle savings withdrawals.
Accept mortgage, installment, commercial loan and overdraft protection payments, as well as line of credit payments and advances.
Redeem savings bonds.
Fill coin orders.
Process night deposit, mail and courier transactions.
Balance personal teller drawer.
Accurately make correcting entries on a timely basis.
Provide Strong Internal/External Customer Service:
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude toward others and FSBT at all times.
Warmly greet all clients calling the branch or entering the lobby.
Listen to and seek to understand the clients’ needs/problems.
Complete printouts, account history, research, copies of checks, etc. as requested by the client.
Follow through and ensure clients’ needs/concerns are satisfied.
If an employee’s, or client’s, problem cannot be resolved by you or your department, ensure that the employee or client is helped by a person who can address the problem.
Protect client’s information. Adhere to privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Perform Vault Teller Duties and Oversee/Support Balancing Procedures:
Accurately oversee and/or perform balancing of the ATM, cash drawers, gift cards, and “end of day” transactions (cash advances, coin machine, teller drawer, vault duties).
Research and locate differences
Accurately make correcting entries on a timely basis.
Handle all ordering and shipment from Thillens.
Handle all teller cash requests and oversee the filling of change orders.
Oversee bait money listing requirements.
Strap and verify all vault cash.
Perform top drawer pulls.
Roll coin accurately and neatly.
Maintain average cash levels for the Branch not to exceed the limits set.
Maintain accurate records of all currency bought and sold.
Ensure tellers hand in proper forms, filled out accurately, when researching/resolving differences.
Ensure tellers promptly and accurately complete end of day transactions.
Requirements
Physical Requirements - Must be met with or without a reasonable accommodation:
Work is performed either standing or sitting and includes frequent position changes in response to customer needs.
Ability to operate a personal computer for approximately 8 hours per day.
Periodically, may also do light lifting of supplies, coins, and other materials which weigh approximately 15-50 pounds.
Hand dexterity with wrist and finger manipulation as well as reaching with arms and hands due to calculating or computer work. Equipment used may include but is not limited to computer, calculator, telephone, teller machine, and equipment unique to the Teller department.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma/GED.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 1-year of experience in a customer service (with cash handling experience), or equivalent combination of education and related work experience in customer service or retail services.
Previous teller or cash handling experience preferred.
Experience providing high quality customer service.
High attention to detail.
Experience working in a team environment.
Ability to count and balance cash.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently.
Knowledge of MS Office, Windows and ten key calculators.
Demonstrate integrity.
Be engaging, curious, and helpful while guiding clients.
