Temporary Crisis Line Manager - Part Time

Position   Summary: 

UNICA is a program within El Programa Hispano   Católico that provides prevention and intervention services to survivors of   domestic and sexual violence. The goal of the program is to provide support,   advocacy, and opportunity for self-empowerment that enables survivors to   exercise free and informed life choices. UNICA operates the first and only   24-hour DV/SA Spanish language Crisis Line offered in Multnomah County and   the state of Oregon. 

The Temporary Crisis Line   Manager is responsible for coordination of services related to Linea UNICA,   including oversight of our partnership under Unified Hospital Response which supports   survivors with sexual assault forensic exam advocacy at local area hospitals   24/7. This position is responsible for direct supervision of UNICA on-call   staff for crisis line and unified hospital response.  

**This is a   temporary position intended to support the UNICA Crisis Line through staffing   absence and will end on September 30, 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provide direct support to on-call advocates while working on the crisis line, including volunteers and interns, with developing safety plans, find shelter, escape violence, and get connected to services.

• Coordinate Linea UNICA services including staffing, emergency hotel vouchers, local emergency transportation, and Unified Hospital Response for SANE exams.
• Represent UNICA at Unified Hospital Response (UHR) collaborative meetings.
• Meet with UNICA Director once per week for supervision and support.
• Maintain and track information from Linea UNICA on Izzy Platform, including a monthly report from calls and referrals to the UNICA Director to support with data gathering and reporting functions for contract grant reporting.
• Interview potential on-call staff and volunteers for crisis line and unified response support..
• Maintain adequate volunteer records; including application, emergency contact information, attendance, training records, etc.
• Actively participate in team meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 years of experience managing staff in crisis line and sexual assault hospital response work.
• 5 years case management/crisis line experience required, preferably with survivors of sexual assault. 
• Ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of local Latino community issues as they relate to domestic/sexual violence.
• Must be 40 hour DV/SA Advocacy trained. 
• Knowledge of Izzy platform database systems. 
• Strong proficiency in all programs of Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. High attention to detail required.. 
• Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to work well in team setting, as well as independently; be flexible and adapt well to different      dynamics in a fast paced work environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, which could include some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to support organizational and program specific mission and goals.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Position will require some travel in the Tri-County area. Must      have driver’s license, access to vehicle and ability to obtain automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100/300/100). 
• Successful completion of civil, criminal and/or motor vehicle background checks.

COMPENSATION: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour - based on experience.

Location & Typical Working Conditions: The majority of work performed by this position can be accomplished in a hybrid/remote work environment, though frequent in-person meetings will be required. There are times that work requires in person, onsite activities. On-site work is located at EPHC’s offices in Gresham, OR. Job duties may require occasional travel, and evening and weekend work depending on project deadlines.
