As a Temporary Signature Verification Clerk, Temporary Flagging Clerk, or Temporary Curing Clerk, you would assist in facilitating the election process. This is done by performing data entry and research, verifying signatures, and contacting voters. Please note the "Essential Job Tasks" information below, as there are three positions for this recruitment. All listed positions are temporary assignments with Maricopa County to perform work before, during, and after the election cycle. The placement and assignments of each temporary election worker are based on facilitation needs and the applicant’s abilities.

The Maricopa County Recorder’s Office (MCRO) is responsible for maintaining the Maricopa County voter registration records and for administering elections in partnership with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. The MCRO also maintains a permanent public record of over 50 million documents dating back to 1871, including deeds, plat maps, and other important records. Our office serves over 2.5 million registered voters and 4.4 million residents across Maricopa County. The MCRO offers a friendly, welcoming, and collaborative environment with opportunities to grow and develop new skills.

Selection Procedure - Maricopa County
The Maricopa County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates considered to be the most highly qualified. Those selected will be assessed based on the evaluation of listed education and experience. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a list provided by Human Resources.
All offers of employment made to new hires and rehires at Maricopa County are contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment thorough background investigation. Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County. This position may be reassigned to other locations. Assignments will be made based upon the needs of the department.
