Position Description
The Temporary Facilities Technician (Part-time) works in collaboration with the Facilities Manager and the facilities team to assist women and families experiencing homelessness, ensuring our buildings are safe and well maintained by identifying hazards, troubleshooting, and performing repairs.
This role involves filling in the gaps at all locations for coverage and high priority repairs. Locations are throughout King County, including Seattle, Burien, and Bellevue. This temporary part-time role has an hourly wage starting at $28/Hr. DOE.
The schedule is Wednesday - Saturday. Hours are to be determined for Wednesday and Thursday and will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday (with flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary).
The position begins as soon as possible and is expected to end mid to late December 2025.
This Temporary Facilities Technician (Part-time) position reports to the Facilities Manager and does not supervise other staff.

In addition, Mary's Place offers the following benefits to temporary part-time staff:
• Unlimited use ORCA pass for a small deduction per pay period
• Sick Time in accordance with Seattle Paid Sick and Safe Time Ordinance. Sick Time accrues at 0.03846 hour for each hour in timesheet (equal to 40 hours/year when 20 hours/week in timesheet)
• Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues at 0.03846 hour for each hour in timesheet during first year of employment, with increasing accruals for each year worked up to 0.05769 hour for 5+ years of employment
• 403(b) plan with a 50% employer match on the first 6% employee contribution. Eligible to participate upon hire; eligible for the match after 1 year of employment and 1,000 Hours of Service.
