Temporary Sample Coordinator

Tommy John is a dual gender lifestyle brand focused on Men’s & Women’s underwear, intimates, sleep, and lounge. We are DTC-driven through our owned and operated brand e-Commerce business. We are undergoing transformation to multi-channel distribution, including Wholesale expansion while remaining on a mission to add smart, innovative, and fun-loving team members to the organization. We are looking for a Temporary Sample Coordinator to come join our New York-based headquarters. Our HQ Office is located in Downtown Manhattan, and this role will be on-site 3 days per week.

This temporary position will run from either September 8th or 15th until October 3rd.

POSITION OVERVIEW 

Reporting to the Director of Global Merchandising, the Temporary Sample Coordinator will be responsible for helping the Merchandising Team unpack, catalog, and organize samples for the upcoming season.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Unpack sample boxes from factory 
• Check contents of each box against inventory list and note any discrepancies
• Hang up and steam one of each sample 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE 

• Preference is for a college student actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a fashion related field or a recent graduate in same 
• Demonstrates alignment with TJ core values: Humble, Adaptable, Mindful, GSD, & Curious
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to learn quickly, work independently & collaboratively, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds
• Ability to work a maximum of 29 hours per week, on-site in our HQ Office in Lower Manhattan 3 days per week
